[Bacula-devel] tray-monitor in trunk and fd access

since March 10th, the trunk file daemon sends a "2000 OK Hello 1" to its
clients instead of the old "2000 OK Hello" without the trailing 1; the 1 was
added as a FD version.

Unfortunately, the tray monitor expects the old string, without any additional
characters. Due to this, tray monitor access to the FD has been failing since

It is obviously extremely simple to fix the tray-monitor code to include the
static "1" as well (see attachment). This, nonetheless, only partially fixes
the problem, as it creates incompatibilities between existing 2.4.x monitors
and upcoming 3.x FDs, as well as the other way around. Better than nothing,

Maybe someone could come up with a better idea?
